Training of Mobile Fertilizer Monitoring System organized | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 23 : A day long training programme on Mobile Fertilizer Monitoring System (MFMS) was organized by the department of Agriculture for the fertilizer dealers of Sub Division RS Pura and Bishnah areas at Village Laswara. In this training programme besides fertilizer dealers (wholesalers /Retailers) fertilizer companies also participated. The programme was inaugurated by AK Malhotra (State Nodal Officer, MFMS), Joint Director Agriculture (Extn) Jammu. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers GOI has launched MFMS to bring transparency in the fertilizer business. Fertilizer being the key input in Agriculture Sector should be made available to the farming community at their door step. Mr. Malhotra disclosed that the main aim of MFMS is to make available direct subsidy to the farmers. The training programme was organized in collaboration with CFCL Jammu in which Online Demonstration was given by CFCL, NFL, IFFCO and experts of Agriculture Department Jammu Division. During the training course the fertilizer dealers were trained how to acknowledge the receipt and sales of fertilizers through SMS from mobiles by the retail dealers which is inevitable under MFMS, through which tracking of the movement of fertilizers up to the end users is to be monitored. |
