City roads in shambles, no one concerned 7/24/2015 12:30:22 AM Early Times Report Udhampur, July 23: The locals in Udhampur city are disturbed over depleted conditions of city roads which are in shambles and alleged that the condition of roads in the ongoing heavy rains is further deteriorating but none the authorities or the elected representatives are concerned towards genuine problems of the people of Udhampur As per records, the proposal for the patching and repairing of 54 roads which fall in the district. has been made with an estimated amount of Rs 18.22 Crore rupees but irony of the matter is that only Rs 5.48 Crore has been sanctioned in this regard. "With this sanctioned amount the works on 22 roads were undertaken while the rest -i.e the majority of road networks is ignored, reports said. When contacted Assistant Executive Engineer Rajesh Gupta in a defensive mood said they didn't have any such information. "If the amount has been sanctioned, then why the work is not been continued is a matter of concerned and give some time to get due information in this regard Meanwhile all attempts to get comments in this regard from MoS for Finance and elected local MLA Pawan Gupta turned futile as he didn't responded to this correspondent   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
