Restrain police from taking random fuel samples: JKPDWS to Govt | | | Early Times Report jammu, July 23: Jammu & Kashmir Petroleum Dealers Welfare Society (JKPDWS), has appealed the State Govt. to issue directives to Police authorities from taking unauthorized collection of Samples from the Petrol Pumps. In a statement, president JKPDWS Anan Sharma stated that some Police personnel are collecting the samples from Retail Outlets (Petrol. Pumps) in the plastic bottles, Glass, injections, without paying the cost of the petroleum products and samples are being sent to Forensic Laboratory, Jammu for testing. Further, Sharma said that the instructions regarding search, seizure & testing of Petroleum Products issued vide order published in the Gazette of India 2005 and subsequently amended on 6th May 2014, are not being followed in true letter and spirit by the State Government and Police as well. He said that the special Mobile Vans (Fitted with testing Lab) are available with all Oil Companies and are available for round the clock and the same shall be utilized for spot verification of Petroleum Products whenever required by the state government instead of collecting random collecting of samples. JKPDWS also demanded all samples may be sent out of State if required for testing ininstead to Forensic Science Laboratory, Jammu. |
