Construct bridge on Kote-Akhnoor road or face agitation' 7/29/2015 11:33:33 PM EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 29: For the last four years the authorities have failed to construct a bridge over a nullah on Bantalab Akhnoor road at Kote forcing the vehicles to take a 500 metre diversion . The nullah overflows during rains and paralyses vehicular movement. Though Jammu-Akhnoor road via Bantalab Kote is the life line of entire Balwal block but nobody seems interested in setting things right. The drivers said the authorities have failed to construct a 30 meter bridge for several years. Besides the bridge the entire Jammu-Akhnoor road via Bantalab Kote is in dilapidated condition right from TV Tower Bantalab to Akhnoor Bypass. The road has over one feet deep and five to six feet wide ditches after every one or two metres right from TV Tower to Akhnoor Bypass which makes it a death trap Despite repeated pleas of the people no action has been taken till date.
