BJP MP 'helping' land mafia 7/30/2015 12:15:01 AM Early Times Report JAMMU, July 29: A senior BJP leader and Member Parliament is allegedly helping land mafia in constructions in Bhawani Nagar area of Jammu on fake registration papers. According to a complaint, on July 18 a construction was noticed in Bhawani Nagar Palora (khasara no. 1184), which actually is a JDA land. The complainant has said the construction on land was immediately brought to the notice of the authorities concerned including the JDA and Jammu Municipal Corporation, but they did not take any action. The complainant has said that Bhawani Nagar is built on JDA land falling under Khasara no. 1184 where the construction has been stayed by the High Court, but still it was allowed on the directions of the MP. "The land mafia is being sheltered by politicians especially the BJP leader. So no action is being taken against the illegal activity," the complainant has said. The complainant, who did not want to be identified, has also alleged that he himself was duped by the MP who not only grabbed the land but also indulged in illegal construction. The BJP state unit is feeling embarrassed by constant allegations against its senior leader "We are constantly receiving many complaints against the BJP leader. But these are very serious allegations and a strict action is being contemplated against him," said a senior BJP leader wishing not to be named. "Till now there has not been even a single complaint of corruption against any BJP minister, but complaints are coming against the MP.
