Children, parents protest against merger of GPS Kasim Nagar | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 29: Students of Government Primary School Kasim Nagar along with their parents today held strong protest against the government for merging their school with Government Middle School Pul Tawi Karishna Nagar. The parents alleged that with the merging of primary school with middle school has put the future of twenty two children into dark. "It was very easy for our children to get to the school but with the decision of its merger now our children will have to cover a distance of more than one kilometer and crossing at least eight busy roads of the city," they alleged. They said that the primary school was running for the last 10 years successfully but ever since the move of government to merge the school with little strength with higher school has created problems for the students as well for their patents. "The most of the students who pursuing their study belongs to poor family but with this move, there is every possibility of students dropping out school which is not in the interest of children, they informed. Parents alleged that government should have chosen the nearest school easy for the children to reach," they. |
