| Humming Buds organizes animal party | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, July 30: Humming buds Pre-School of MIER, today celebrated a special 'Animal Party' here at the B.C. Road and Residency Road branches. This unique and innovative event was designed to develop inherent interest in children through exploring the amazing world of animals. As part of the ongoing theme, all children play-acted different animals. They assisted their parents in making beautiful animal masks and learnt the benefits of several domestic and wild animals.
The little children performed with full confidence on stage and in a fun way enhanced their knowledge about different animals including their sounds, habitat, eating habits and characteristics.
Research has shown that there are immense benefits of sensitizing children about our environment and its varied flora and fauna at a young age. This will help these children grow into knowledgeable adults who shall do their bit in conserving animals and preventing cruelty.
A plethora of activities were planned for the children to arouse their curiosity about the animal kingdom. Through "Smart Class" a complete A to Z vocabulary of animals was shown to them along with fun worksheets which were done in project notebooks. Children even recited rhymes on animals.
Rupa Gupta, Management representative and Jasleen Mohial, Coordinator Junior Wing judged the children on their expression, clarity and actions. Ruchika Gupta, Project Director, Humming Buds, distributed the certificates and gifts to the winners of the best mask and the best spoken lines on the stage. All the children really enjoyed the theme party and pledged to be kind to animals. |
