SKUAST-J KVK organizes farmer training programme 7/30/2015 11:47:27 PM Early Times Report Jammu, July 30: Krishi Vigyan Kendra Jammu working under the administrative control of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu organized a farmer training and campaign on Lantana eradication at village Mathwar of Balwal block adopted under in Jammu district by Member Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma. During the onset of training programme Dr Sanjay Khar, Programme coordinator Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Jammu briefed the farmers that KVK, Jammu is consistently working hard for the benefit of the farming community of the Jammu district. He also appraised them about the importance of conducting such training programmes at the farmer's field and assured to provide any help for improvement in agriculture and allied sectors in the village. During the training programme Dr Punit Choudhary (Scientist Forestry) stressed upon the adoption and plantation of high yielding Terminalia chebula (Raj Harad) plants for upliftment of the socioeconomic conditions of the farmers of the village.
