Training-cum-awareness programme organized for health workers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
MENDHAR, July 30: On the occasion of National Intensified Diarrhea Control Fortnight, a Training-cum-awareness programme was organized for the health workers, ICDS workers and ASHAs of Mendhar and Harni block by the Health Department, Mendhar under National Health Mission at Conference Hall of BMO Office. During the programme, which is aimed at reducing the morbidity and mortality among the children, the Health workers, ICDS workers and ASHAs will visit households to educate parents about cause, prevention and management of diarrhea and importance of hand washing of children before and after each meal. They will also distribute Oral Rehydration solution (ORS) packets and Zinc tablets among children with diarrhea besides detecting malnourished children for further treatment. While welcoming the Chief Guest and participants, Dr Teginder Kumar Physician specialist SDH Mendhar briefed the gathering about different components of the programme and stressed upon the Health workers to spread awareness in the society and stressed that no child under five years with diarrhea should be left untreated. |
