Residents of village Dassal stage protest against CAPD 7/31/2015 12:01:15 AM Early Times Report Rajouri, July 30: Inhabitants of village Dassal and its adjoining areas situated in the vicinity of Rajouri city held a protest demonstration against CA&PD department alleging that the people have been facing acute shortage of LPG and ration at government fair price shops. The protesters blocked Rajouri-Dassal road and raised slogans and lambasted the CA&PD officials and Public Health Engineering (PHE) department officials for their casual approach in mitigating their problems. Protesters including Manoj Kumar, Mohd Anwar, Shah Mohd alleged that for the several months the inadequate supply of LPG and ration has raised many problems for the poor people of the area. "Not only LPG & ration people have been facing acute shortage of safe drinking water which is being supplied once after ten days. People are forced to collect contaminated water from natural resources in the ensuing rainy season which has become a source of many water born diseases" said Ravi Kumar. Protesters alleged that the matter has been raised before the concerned officials and district administration several times, but it seems they take the matter casually and people have been forced to organize protest demonstration to awake them from deep slumber.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
