BSNL mobile network goes missing in Nowshera | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, July 30: Inhabitants of several border villages in Nowshera tehsil including of Lam village have alleged that for the last more than 20 days neither mobile service nor land line service is available, courtesy poor services provided by the officials of India's largest Telecommunication player BSNL. In a surprise move villagers have been informed by the concerned SDTO that the Engineer responsible for uninterrupted BSNL services in this area is on leave and as soon as he will come services would be restored. Now the question arises why the people have to wait for the engineer? Does BSNL has no other engineer available for restoration of telephone services? Why the people have to suffer? People alleged that they are getting regular telephone bills despite the facts that the telephone services have been snapped. They alleged that as most of their family members working in other parts of the State/out side the State and they have to come to Nowshera to contact them. "In case of any emergency we are hapless to contact the health officials/police or our relatives for help" said Manoj Kumar. They warned to hold mass protest demonstration at Nowshera, including of blocking of road if the authorities failed to restore the services within in next few days. "It is not our job to call the technician/engineer from Jammu. It is the duty of the department to make early arrangements for the restoration of telephone services" said Purshotam Lal. Raising slogans against the officials of the BSNL protesters warned the concerned officials to mend their casual approach towards the problems being faced by the subscribers otherwise they will face the ire of the people and for any consequences they will be responsible. |
