GCW Parade student dies, other injured in truck-bike collision 8/19/2015 11:53:31 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 19: A student of Government College for Women (GCW) Parade was killed while her friend received injuries on Wednesdayevening after the motorcycle they were traveling as pillion riders collided with a truck at 4th Tawi Bridge. Police have arrested driver of truck and seized the truck also. Police sources have identified the deceased as Rasmeet Kour (22) d/o Hardeep Singh while injured has been identified as Preet Kour (22) d/0 Trilok Singh both residents of Sunderbani. They said that after attending the classes the duo was going to their present accommodation at Muthi on motorcycle of one of the cousin. Police sources quoting the injured stated that due to blockade of Maheshpura Chowk by the protestors, they took route of fourth Tawi Bridge while reaching the bridge, the motorcycle got collided with a truck bearing registration number JK02V-7695 resulting critical injuries to pillion riders. "The collision was so potent that Rasmeet died on the spot and Preet received severe injuries, police sources said. Police sources further said after getting the information a police team was rushed to the spot which shifted the injured to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu while body of the deceased was kept in the mortuary of the hospital. "The body would be handed over to the family members after post-mortem, police sources said.
