Lady bureaucrat abuses employee, Com Secy slaps him | High Powered Drama inside Civil Secretariat | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Aug 19: The Civil Secretariat, highest seat of power, witnessed a high voltage drama here on Wednesday involving the Director School Education Jammu and Commissioner Secretary Education. Sources told Early Times that during the rush hours in the corridors of Civil Secretariat, the shoulder touch between an 'ordinary' Secretariat employee and Director Education Jammu Yasha Mudgal led to the Mudgal slipping following which infuriated Mudgal without caring for the people present in the corridor allegedly hurled a volley of choicest invectives upon the 'poor' employee. "It was a shocker to me. A lady bureaucrat showering choicest abuses was an act which I had never imagined," said an eyewitness. "The poor employee in a bid to save himself from the wrath of furious bureaucrat fled from the spot, however, Commissioner Secretary Education Shalin Kabra chased the fellow and caught hold of him in near the Secretariat gate. After slapping him, Kabra handed him over to police personnel deployed in the Civil Secretariat," the eyewitnesses added. When contacted SP Security Civil Secretariat Shamshir Hussain Khan told a local news agency that the employee was not at fault. "The collision was unintentional. We have not arrested the employee and after questioning him we felt he didn't push the lady intentionally," he said. The employees at the Secretariat watching this drama alleged that Yesha Mudgal spends her time in Srinagar and rarely visits Jammu where she is posted. "The behavior of the bureaucrats was unjustified and we condemn it. We will raise this issue and will discuss it in the meeting," said Ghulam Rasool President Civil Secretariat Employees Union. Despite repeated attempts Commissioner Secretary and Director Education Jammu could not be contacted for their comments. |
