| Professionals, non-professionals swap roles in Legislative Assembly Secretariat | | Administrative mess at its peak | | Jehangir Rashid

SRINAGAR, Aug 19: In the Government departments of Jammu & Kashmir it has been observed that professionals are coerced to do menial jobs while as the non-professionals are asked to do jobs which are meant for professionals exclusively. Same situation is existent in the Secretariat of Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly.
Parvez Ahmad Mir appointed as Editor is discharging his duties in the Administration section with Manzoor Ahmad Sheikh also working in the same section despite being appointed as a translator. Afaq Ahmad Khan appointed as Senior Reporter is working in the Accounts section while as Tej Paul Singh appointed as Hindi Reporter is working as Cashier in the same section.
Harbans Lal appointed as Translator is working in the Hospitality and Protocol section and Malik Shamim Ahmad appointed as Junior Librarian is also working in the same section. Appointed as Cashier, Viqar-ul-Nazir is working in the Legislation section of the Assembly Secretariat.
Tanveer Ahmad Khan appointed as Head Assistant is working in the Translation section with Parvez Ahmad Mir is also working in the same section despite being appointed as Librarian. In the same section Naqib Ghulam Jeelani, Farooq Ahmad Sheikh, Madiha Shah and Mohammad Hussain Parray are working despite being appointed as Head Assistant, Senior Assistant, Junior Assistant and Junior Assistant respectively.
Javed Ahmad Wani appointed as Personal Assistant (PA) to Secretary Legislative Assembly is working in the Reporting section. In the same section Syed Imtiyaz is working despite being appointed as Senior Assistant. Mohammad Yousuf Mir appointed as Junior Accountant is working in the Stationery section. Deepak Pandita is working as Library Assistant despite being appointed in the Receipt and Dispatch section.
Appointed as Stock Assistant, Ganesh Singh is performing his duties in the Committee on Public Accounts. Alka Rajput is working in the Research and Reference section despite being appointed as Accountant. Mohammad Jamal-ud-din appointed as Senior Reporter is working in the personal section of Speaker of Legislative Assembly. Vishal Sharma has been assigned the duty in the Information Technology (IT) section despite being appointed as Head Assistant.
Appointed as Table Boy, Shashi Bushan is working in the driving section. In the same section Reyaz Ahmad Sofi is working as Driver despite being a Watch & Ward man. Appointed as Head Assistant, Mukhtar Ahmad Wani is working in the Answer Question (A. Q) section. In the same section, Mudasir Amin, Mohammad Afzal Bhat and Rahul Kumar are working despite being appointed as Senior Assistant, Senior Assistant and Junior Assistant respectively.
Appointed as Senior Reporter, Iqbal Gul Wani is working in the personal section of Deputy Speaker. Nisar Ahmad Lone is working in the personal section of Special Secretary despite being appointed as Data Entry Operator. Appointed as Junior Assistant, Ganesh Sharma is working in the personal section of Rattan Lal Sharma, Additional Secretary. Ashiq Hussain Lone is working in the personal section of Naseem Jan, Additional Secretary despite being appointed as junior operator.
Appointed as Head Assistant, Malik Altaf Hussain is working in the Printing and Publishing section. Asif Jan and Rajeshwar Singh are working in the same section despite being appointed as Senior Assistant and Junior Assistant respectively. |
