CWA urges GM, BSNL to attend to consumer problems | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 19: Consumer Welfare Association (CWA) in its constant endeavor to project the problems faced by consumers in various Services Sector and to ensure their mitigation CWA organized a meeting with Gautam Lal, General Manager, BSNL Jammu to discuss various consumer related issues. CWA was represented by Er Subash Sharma , Er Ashok Arora , Er Ashok Koul (General Secretary)), Er BM Kohli(VP) ,Chander Prakash (Secy), SN Koul (Tresurer) and JK Kajooria. On the onset GM BSNL was given a brief account of the activities of CWA and was greeted on behalf of Er Vikram Gour President CWA for his new assignment and CWA hoped that under his superintendence BSNL Jammu will reach new heights . The various issues raised by CWA, with regard to the services provided by BSNL, which needed immediate attention of BSNL authorities included improvement to temporary facilities of communication provided to ongoing Machil Yatra, providing of separate counters for senior citizens at all collection centers and timing of all collection centers be fixed from 8 am to 8 pm. frequent disruption in land line/broad-brand services due to cable faults and making concerned SDO phones of various telephone exchanges accountable for the services provided by BSNL falling under their jurisdiction among the others. GM BSNL gave a very patient hearing to all the issues raised and suggestions given by CWA and informed that he is in know of the problems faced by the consumers and assured that all the issues raised by CWA are genuine and will be addressed within a span of one month or at the most two months , as steps are being taken on war footing to sort out the technical problems. |
