Students celebrates Raksha Bandhan with Army | | | Early Times Report BANIHAl, Aug 29: Students of Bharatiya Vidya Mandir (BVM) High School Ramban celebrated Rakshan Bandhan with the Army Jawan at RR 23 and 109 INT Bn(TA) at Maitra Camp. Around 35 girl students from different class accompanied by the principal of the school Pardeep Singh Thakur and staff members went to Army camp where they tied Rakhies on the wrists of the saviours of the nation and put tilak on their masthead. The girls had come there to celebrate rakhi with the soldiers of army and offered prayers for their long lives. In return the jawans also took pledge to safeguard their honour and pride. Major Nipun Sirohi from RR 23 appreciated the efforts made by the school management to celebrate this festival with the army who are far from their family. Later the students went to another camp where they tied rakhi to Lt Col Joy Dass Gupta from 109 INT Bn(TA) and his whole team. The principal of the school in his message extended his blessings to the children and advised them to spread the values of peace and universal brotherhood by way of such festivals. |
