Deputy CM leaves for Goa on private trip | Enjoying Power! | | Ishtiyaq Ahmad Early Times Report Srinagar, Sept 2: Since the day BJP ministers have assumed the office they have not left a single chance to reap the maximum benefits of power, the Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh, who should have led from the front to ensure that all the BJP ministers remain accessible to the masses, has set an example by going on private trips. Sources told Early Times the Deputy Chief Minister after spending two days in New Delhi has reportedly left for a private trip to Goa. When Early Times called Deputy CM's personal number 9419149494 the response was "Sahab do din Delhi mai thay ab Goa chale gaye ( Sahab was in Delhi for two days now he has left to Goa). BJP ministers are leaving no stone unturned to reap the benefits of power and are enjoying at the cost of the poor people. "Many people who visit Civil Secretariat here allege that Deputy Chief Minister remains inaccessible and refrains from meeting the people despite holding two important portfolios power and housing," sources alleged. "I came from Handwara to meet Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh but the officials posted in his chamber did not allow me saying Sahab Ji yaha Nai hai (The Sahab is not here)," Moin Ahmad of Hanadwara told Early Times. BJP, which leaves no stone unturned to claim that they are the representatives of people, seem to have no time for people, opined a critic. "When they come to seek votes they behave as if they are angels and are the most polite people on this earth. After they attain power they forget everything." said a visitor, who was standing outside the office chamber of the Deputy chief Minister. Insiders revealed that many works and files are pending in the office of the Deputy Chief Minister as he seems in "no mood to work." "Even the BJP activists return disappointed due to the cold response of the Deputy CM and his men. There seems no coordination between Dr Nirmal Singh and his cabinet colleagues and it seems they are not at talking terms with each other," the source claimed. He said that Deputy CM and other BJP ministers have made it a routine that they skip the office and enjoy private holidays in different states and foreign countries. "Deputy CM going for an outing is nothing new. Today he is in Goa, tomorrow he could land in Kerala," the insider added. |
