Students' protest over shortage of teachers, block NH 9/3/2015 12:01:48 AM Early Times Report Samba, Sept 2: Hundreds of students today staged protest and blocked the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway over shortage of teachers in a government school. Shouting slogans, girls students from Government Girls Higher Secondary School Samba this morning took out a protest march and later demonstrated on the highway. Protesting girls staged sit-in on the highway and blocked the road demanding appointment of staff in the school. "The students alleged that there are no required number of teachers in Government School due to which their studies are affected," an official here said. He said the authorities concerned including the Chief Education Officer, Samba and police rushed to the spot and assured the protesters of appointing staff in days.
