Jammu, Sept 5: Continuing its efforts to strengthen with local population, the Indian Army today handed over newly constructed toilets to management of Govt Girls Middle School (GGMS) in Hamirpur Sidhar in a simple ceremony attended by officials from civil administration, faculty, Sarpanch, locals and students of school. "There are 48 girl students studying in this school and absence of toilet facilities in school was causing a lot of inconvenience to the girl students, spokesperson said adding, "and the necessity of construction of toilets was felt at the school." "Taking inspiration from ongoing campaign of 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan' the local Army unit at Hamirpur undertook construction of one block of toilets (06 seats) by the Army under Operation Sadbhavana at Govt Girls Middle School, Hamirpur, spokesperson said. On this occasion, Principal of the school, on behalf of all guests appreciated Army's efforts and conveyed their heartfelt gratitude. |
