Jitendra recommends Dogra certificate, plots to border people | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Sept 5: MoS PMO Jitendra Singh has recommended Dogra certificate that was seized by Congress government in J&K state on the basis of equality to all and 5 marlas plot for each cross border firing affected families. Addressing a gathering at Hiranagar , Jitendra Singh said people have been suffering since Independence due to cross border firing and they deserve special status before centre and state government so governments should issue Dogra Certificate which is basic right of the people. He said 80 kanals land has been marked for border people in safe place whose files are with the revenue department Kathua which would be transferred to people within days. He issued special instruction to DDC Kathua for transferring of marked land with immediate effect so that people can shift their families in safe places during ceasefire violation. MoS PMO informed that union government enhanced the remuneration of VDCs & SPO from Rs 3000 to Rs 6000 per month but expressed surprised to know the amount is still to reach at right hands. He appealed state government to enhance their monthly remuneration. He also appealed to distribute Rs 5 crore that was sanctioned few months back for people whose land has been acquired by security forces along IB. While disclosing future plans, he said BRO has tendered to construct Keerian Bridge on Ravi of worth cost Rs 180 crore and work would start soon on project. He said state union government is keen about construction of Link road in district Kathua and the work would start soon. He announced construction of War memorial in District Kathua. While responding about special package for Kashmir flood affected areas, Singh said Union government used to send due relief and rehabilitation package during PM's regular visits in Kashmir after floods and Rs 1100 crore by union home minister. He said PDP is in coalition government and equally responsible for any discrimination with Youths. He pointed out at Mehbooba Mufti's remarks where she yesterday accused centre government for not creating job avenues to Kashmiri Youths. |
