Udhampur, Sept 5: All J&K ReT teachers organized a protest demonstration at Udhampur on the eve of Teachers Day under chairmanship of state president Vinod Sharma and Distt president Lekh Raj Parihar. The protest was attended by the representatives of the Forum from all the eleven zones. Speaking on the occasion Vinod Sharma lambasted the government for its casual approach to resolve their issues and harassing them by hurting their sentiments. "How can we celebrate teachers' day when our SSA salary is pending for last 6 months and our family members are on the verge of starvation?," he said and added that Mid- Day- Meal dues are pending for last one and half year, regularization files of ReTs are dusting in various offices and KGBV teachers are waiting for their regularization and are passing through acute harassment at the hands of concerned authority. |
