'BJP cheated Jammu on AIIMS , smart city scheme'
9/5/2015 11:40:39 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 5: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party chairman Harsh Dev Singh has said no orders had been passed for establishment of second AIIMS in Jammu region and the bitter truth was that the BJP had surrendered Jammu based issues before its unholy partner PDP for power sharing.
Addressing a press conference here today Harsh said that the Saffron party back stabbed the people of Jammu region with a sole motive to grab the power which had led to a massive ongoing civil movement for its restoration in the region.
Singh disclosed that Panthers Party had filed an RTI application dated June 23 seeking a copy of the order/ notification issued for the establishment of newly sanctioned AIIMS during 2015-16 from the ministry of health & family welfare, Govt. of India, towards which the concerned office provided an information dated August 26 replying that only one AIIMS has been sanctioned for J&K state along with other states.
Further, another three point RTI application dated August 5 had been filed by the Panthers Party seeking a copy of the order by virtue of which 2nd AIIMS was sanctioned for J&K in case two AIIMS were to be established in J&K and the details thereof from the aforesaid Ministry, towards which the concerned office provided the information dated September 1 replying that no such information existed as on date.
Singh said that keeping these two replies by the Ministry of Health it was now unambiguously clear that no such orders had been passed for establishment of second AIIMS in Jammu region.
Infuriated further by the outright denial of even a single smart city to J&K under the central government's Rs. 96000 crores Pan- India 100 'Smart Cities' project by the Union Ministry for Housing and Urban Development, Harsh Dev Singh pointed out that out of 36 states and union territories, J&K alone was excluded from the mega project during the announcement made by the union minister for urban development Venkaiah Naidu in New Delhi on August 27 in which 98 cities from the all other states and union territories were shortlisted to be developed as smart cities.
Singh said that the BJP has been persistently drum beating about their developmental agenda all across the country but despite having governments both at the centre and in the State, the Saffron brigade has miserably succumbed and failed to deliver AIIMS in Jammu Division besides a Smart City to Jammu city in its much hyped dream project envisaged by Prime Minister Narendra Modi which otherwise could have provided the city with round the clock water and power supply, emergency and health services, world class roads and telecom services, IT enabled services, etc.
