Udhampur, Sept 6: Bharma Kumaris (BK) Geeta Pathshalla Jakhani, Udhampur celebrated Krishan Janamastami with great enthusiasm, fervour and gaiety in the premises of Padav Mandir near Ramnagar Chowk Udhampur last night. Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Udhampur, Dr. Chander Parkash and Director Sports SMVDSB, Ashok Kumar were the special guest on the occasion. While greeting the people on the occasion of Janmashtami, Medical Superintendent said that such celebration not only fulfill our religious aspiration and getting spiritual bliss. The festival of Janmashtami teaches us that we should believe in God and always fight against the wrongs," he added. He also appealed the gathering to generate awareness among the common masses to educate the girls as they would not only make herself educated but also develop the whole of the family. Deputy Chief Warden Civil Defence Advocate S.D. Kotwal carried the proceedings of the programme and said that Lord Krishna's philosophy of life and his teaching to uphold the truth and protect Dharma are the valuable heritage for the entire humanity. Prominent artists of the district which include Banasree Sarkar, Sushma Rajput, , M.K.Pagal, Amit Kumar, Sushma Kundal, Shubham Sharma, Pawan Kumar and Ravi Kumar presented Krishana Bhajans and Krishan Rass Leela were highly appreciated by the audience on the occasion. Among others, Incharge BK Geeta Pathshalla, Didi Mamta, Bharma Kumar from Maharastra, BK Ashok, BK Diya, Sewadari of Bharma Kumaris which include B.K. Brij Mohan, B.K. Chander Mohan, B.K. Khushi, prominent which include Chander Mohan Khajuria, Jugal Kishore and Radhey Sham and large number of the of the people were also present on the occasion. |
