| Electricity threat looms large over Tetarka residents | | | Early Times Report
Banihal, Sept 6: The low line electric wires fixed with green trees in Tetarka area of Gool in district Ramban have become a great threat to the people as well as livestock
Locals allege that the electric wires are fixed with green tress instead of electric polls is the great threat for the locals. They further said that in many areas fencing wires are used by the PDD department as the electric line.
A deputation of the locals said that in more than one dozen villages of the area the power supply system is totally in bad conditions and the wires are fixed with rotten electric polls and with trees.
Locals are feeling threatened to work in their fields and the PDD department is still waiting for some untoward incident to happen, they alleged. They said that many incidents have happened in past in the area due to this nonchalant electricity system in the area while the unscheduled cuts and drop of voltage is the common phenomenon in the area. The deputation of the residents has approached to the higher authorities of the PDD department and the Government to take the steps for the improvement of the power system in this hilly area and save the precious lives. |
