Jammu, Sept 6: A book entitled 'Sharika Parbat Hari Parbat' was today released here at press club Jammu. According to press release, the book was written by Prof. Mohan Lal Kaul and Upender Ambardar. Among the prominent persons who were present on the dais were Prof. M K TENG, Prof. PN Trisal, Prof. ML Kaul, Dr.Agnishekhar and Dr. Ajay Chrungoo. Many eminent dignitaries, intellectuals and scholars attended the function. Prof MK Teng who presided over the function released the book. The function was conducted by Upender Ambardar, General Secretary of Prakash. It may be mentioned that Sharika Parbat, popularly known as Hari Parbat, has been the oldest spiritual centre of Kashmir and preserves the Vedic origins of the Kashmir's prehistoric past and its grandeur and glittering glory. Kalhan Pandit in his magnum opus, Rajtarangini, makes a mention of the Holy hillock as the focal point of Kashmir's well-entrenched and protracted history of spiritualism. On the occasion, speakers demanded to know when this crusadal war on the spiritual centers of Kashmir onslaught that this cultural and spiritual erosion of Kashmir will stop. They also clamoured that the Sharika Parbat is cleared off encroachments and desecration and restored to its original divinity and sacredness and the culprits are brought to book. |
