AJKKU urges CM to withdraw tax on air tickets 9/7/2015 12:42:53 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 6: All Jammu and Kashmir Kissan Union today urged Chief Minister Mufti Mohmmad Sayeed to withdraw tax on air tickets of helicopter operating Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board pilgrims from Katra to Sanjichat at Katra. General Secretary Dr. Yash Paul said that the imposition of the tax will put the burden on religious tourist pilgrims and come in way of enhancing Tourism potential in J&K State. "State government has been spending substantial amount for last more than one decade to move around within and outside the country to mobilize tourism thrust to the state of J&K with the mission to improve state economy and employment opportunities to the people", he said. They further urged upon the State Chief Minister and Dy. Chief Minister to review the government decision of imposing tax in light of the method adopted by Himachal, Malaysia, Philippine, Thailand, Hong Kong and other tourists destination of the world.
