Six hurt in road mishap at Domail | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 11: Six persons today sustained injuries after a State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) bus they were travelling in fell in a gorge after being hit by a dumper at Domail Bridge falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Jajjhar Kotli. Police said that accident took place when a bus bearing regd no: JK02Y-0506 on its way from Jammu to Udhampur near Domail Bridge was hit by dumper bearing regd no: JK02AW-9655 when the dumper tried to overtake resulting bus to skid off the road and fell into roadside gorge. Injured have been identified as Darshana Devi (45) wife of Seva Ram her daughter Manjeet (27) son Paramjeet (23) all residents of Rehar, Dr Anju bala (55) wife of Somnath of Janipur, Amit (28) son of Radhe sham and Pawan Chouhan (25) son of Mahesh both residents of Luckhnow. Police said that after getting the information, police immediately reached the spot and shifted the injured to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for treatment. Police said that both the vehicles have been seized while driver of dumper managed to escape from the spot and a case in this connection has been registered and further investigation is on. |
