| First ever woman drug peddler held alongwith intoxicants | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Sept 11: As a part of special drive against drug menace, police today arrested first ever woman drug peddler from busiest area Gujjar Mandi Chowk in Rajouri district and recovered large quantity of 710 intoxicant capsules prescription name Smasmo Proxivon from the possession of the accused.
"The accused has been identified namely Nagina Kousar w/o Karamat Hussain resident of Gujjar Mandi," police said.
According to police the accused lady is the first woman drug peddler who has fell in the net of Rajouri police team headed by inspector Yashpal Singh, SHO Police Station Rajouri under the supervision of Iftikhar Ahmed Deputy SO (Operations and Nodal Officer of Anti Drug Operations).
"For the last few days police have been keeping surveillance on the activities of the suspected woman as her brother is also a noted drug peddler and her husband is a drug addict, SSP Rajouri dr Haseeb Mughal said, further adding, "after specific information police party intercepted her at Gujjar Mandi chowk and recovered the consignment of intoxicant capsules from her possession."
SSP Rajouri said, " the accused's brother namely Mohd Riaz already was booked in 2014 in case FIR No598/14 under sections 8/21/22 NDPS Act while the woman has been booked in case FIR No456/15 under sections 8/20/21 NDPS Act and 18/27 DCA Act. SSP Rajouri Dr Mughal, said that the police have started further investigation and the woman is under sustain interrogation to unearth the modus operandi of the drug peddlers and their nexus with other local and non-local associates. |
