6 Sprawling Buds students in State Climbing team | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 14 : The only institution in the city with a standard sport climbing wall at its campus, the Sprawling Buds School has produced national standard stuff with six of its students selected in the J&K team representing the state in the upcoming North Zone Sport Climbing Championship to be held at New Delhi from September 25. All these students, Ritesh Sharma, Randeep Parihar, Rudra Pratap, Asma Gul, Mandeep Parihar and Sanyam Bhat have been selected on the basis of their performance in the just concluded 15th State Sport Climbing Championship at Tenzing Norgay Sport Climbing Wall by the J&K Mountaineering Association. Earlier, these students brought laurels to the school winning five medals in the state championship, including two gold and silver. Ritesh Sharma and Asma Gul won gold medal in mini-boys and mini girls category respectively whereas Randeep Parihar bagged silver medal and Rudra Pratap and Sunandini Bhagat won bronze medal. Meanwhile, the management of the school has decided to felicitate the selected students from the school with handsome cash prize on winning a gold medal in the upcoming North Zone Championship. |
