JAMMU, Sept 14 : Wrestler Jakker of Sarore in Jammu clinched the VIth Annual Ser Sundwan Kesari Dangal title outplaying wrestler Dalbir of Danga Bhagan in Reasi in the main bout that took place at organized at Government High School Ser Sundwan in tehsil Bhamag and district Reasi. Winner of title bout, Jakker awarded with cash prize of Rs 6,000 while runner-up Dalbir was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 5,000. The second main bout won by Babba of Kot Bhawal after he beat Jagga of Jallandher. In another fight for the second bout, Kulbir Singh of Kot Bhawal defeated Pamma of Jallandher while third main bout went to Murad Ali of Kot Bhawal. He outplayed Prahald of Kalakote. This dangal was organized by Ser Sundwan Dangal Committee in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association. Joint Secretary, J&K State Sports Council Jammu, Shiv kumar Sharma was chief guest who distributed cash prizes among winners and runners-up wrestlers. Social activist, Saraf Singh Nag presided over the function. Secretary general Indian Style Wrestling Association of India, Roshan Lal of Delhi and Sarpanch Kapoor Singh were guests of honour. Sarpanch Kapoor Singh presented vote of thanks. A large number of locals from Reasi, Katra and adjoining areas witnessed the dangal and appreciated the efforts of organizers. Around 78 bouts were decided in this dangal. Members & technical officials who helped for the smooth conduct of this event included Dhani Ram, Bachitter Singh, Balwan Singh, Bodh Raj Sharma, Nasin Singh, Kapoor Chand, Paras Ram, Abdul Hamid, Sudesh Singh, Gian Chand Sharma, Mohan lal, Romesh Kumar, Murli Dhar, Captain Lehar Singh, Nazir Ahmed, Baldev Sharma, Ramink Nowadha, Rattan Lal Sharma and Dev Parkash. |
