JAMMU, Sept 14: Hailing the efforts of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) for successful conduct of the annual Amarnath pilgrimage, the International Human Right Protection Council (IHRPC) Jammu conveyed congratulations to the Board for ensuring peaceful yatra despite threats of terror attacks. The president IHRPC, along with his core members - Secretary General Shareshta Khajuria, Advisors Dr Jai Kumar Sharma, Judge (Retd) Pavitar Singh, Engineers (Retd) Daya Sagar and Jagdish Sharma expressed satisfaction that due to the strenuous efforts of the SASB, more than 3 lakh pilgrims paid obeisance at the holy cave shrine without experiencing any untoward incident. The IHRPC members said that with this year's Amarnath yatra remained by and large peaceful, the local cottage industries, businessmen, shopkeepers, poni and palkiwalas and other labourers of the valley, whose economy depends entirely, were also happy on the incident free yatra. |
