Jammu, Sept 14: A diabetes awareness cum free health check up and blood sugar testing camp is being organized by Shakti Kendra on September 15from 11:00am to 1:00PM at Shivaji Park, Sector: 9, Opp RBI Staff Quarters, Trikuta Nagar Jammu.
Yash Puri, the chief patron of Shakti Kendra appraised that Shakti Kendra is a citizens group involved in community welfare by taking up initiatives under various social cause like community health, community cleanliness & hygiene, education & learning, Ethos & value system etc with major focus on children, women and elderly people.
Harswardan Gupta, (Advocate) who is also the president of Shakti Kendra informed that Dr Jitendra Singh, Member Parliament & Union Minister in Prime Minister's Office has consented to be the chief guest of the occasion. D P Arora (Retd KAS) who is the General Secretary of Shakti Kendra informed that Dr Jitendra Singh who is a renowned diabetologist (Practitioner) and author of several books & publications in the field of this life style disorder, is going to deliver an awareness lecture as well.
Bharat Sharma, who is a political & social activist and is the Vice President of Shakti Kendra has appealed people, especially, elderly people, to gather in large numbers and take complete benefit of the camp. |
