| JSM demands pending wages of employees | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 14: Jammu State Morcha (JSM) has urged the State Government to disburse wages of the permanent daily wagers of PHE, POD and other Departments forthwith and take immediate steps to regularize them as per the court instructions.
In a meeting presided over by Abdul Gani, President JSM and attended among others by Chandra Uday Sharma, Surjeet Singh, V.B. Gupta, S.C. Baru and Subash Sharma, the members of the Morcha stressed that the Ministers of the State Government have no moral right to draw their salaries until the wages of these poor and hard working daily wagers are released. They pointed out that the High court had barred the Government to use the services of daily wages except casual labour but the Government is not bothered about these permanent daily wagers as mostly they belong to Jammu province and most of these were not reqularized insptie of court orders of 1994 and many assurances given by the various state Governments to these daily wagers. The Morcha has also urged the Government to acquire the land identified by D.C.Jammu for AIIMS in Jammu at an earliest so that people of Jammu do not have to suffer for super specialist treatment in Jammu province. |
