JAMMU, Sept 14 : The work of young Jammu artist, Lovesh Sharma is part of the International Print Exhibition-10 -A Collab, that opened at Nomad Art Gallery and Craft Centre, Islamabad in Pakistan today. One of the two participants from India, Lovesh has collaborated with artists from six nations of Australia, Denmark, Mexico, UK and hosts Pakistan. The other Indian artist is Vibhuti Sharma. "As the name suggests, The 10-A Collab, is an endeavour of ten artists from six different countries to convene on a single platform, to exhibit, the deeper importance of things in the form of contemporary prints and also expose the viewers both the artists and general masses to the expertise, aesthetics and a multitude of printmaking techniques," Lovesh said . The credit for the exhibition goes to Pakistan artist one of the participants, Iram Wani, whose enthusiasm as a dedicated printmaker, with contribution from all participants, has created a bridge to bring together global thoughts and personal experiences in this collaborative initiative. "My unleashed imaginative world is changed with emotions of love, affection and sympathy. Within this personal realm, the experiences are integrated and creativity comes to life that portrays the existence of a youth, deeply rooted in a middle class environment," Lovesh Sharma quoted as saying in the catalogue of this international exhibition. Other participating artists are David Jones, Elise Searson, Rodrigo Rosas, Sameera Khan, Sarah Hopkins, Sidra Ali and Tracey Moberly. |
