ABVP seeks VC's intervention for JFR scholarship to offline candidates | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 29: Akhil Bhartiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) scholars Convenor Jammu University has demanded from the Vice Chancellor to intervene personally and show utmost urgency in the prolonged delayed issue of UGC JRF Scholarship for offline Candidates. Lokinder Singh said that some of the Scholars of Jammu University who are offline candidates have not received their UGC JRF scholarship since December 2014. He said that in the last meeting of Departmental Representatives of Jammu university and Vice Chancellor, it was demanded by Vice Chancellor in presence of Registrar, Jammu University and others officials of the university to solve the matter but yet nothing positive has been achieved yet. Lokinder Singh further added that this blockade in Scholarship had enormously hampered the research work of scholars who are yet to get their scholarships and they are getting frustrated. He demanded the Vice Chancellor to intervene personally an provide respite to the sufferings of research scholars without any further delay. Others who were present were Akhil Dev Singh, Sunil Kumar, Gagan Verma, Rakesh Singh and Rizwan. |
