Discontented RSS signals reshuffle in BJP Ministries | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 28: Even as the intervention of BJP high command and Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed has managed to salvage the Coalition Government from getting eaten up by Beef controversy, the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh has signalled stripping some saffron party Ministers off their portfolios very soon. Disappointed over the performance of party Ministers in the coalition Government, the RSS is learnt to have conveyed to the BJP high command of mulling a reshuffle and replace some incumbents notwithstanding the excuses made by them for their failures, highly placed sources in the saffron party told the Early Times. According to the sources, the signals of reshuffle were given by a top RSS functionary during his last week visit to the State and the same was also conveyed to the party by BJP national general secretary and Incharge J&K affairs Ram Madhav. Though enough indications were made in this regard, a clear message on reshuffle was conveyed to the party Ministers a day after the Eid, sources added. The high command did not want any controversy on the occasion of Eid, particularly in the wake of beef controversy, and therefore an open warning to the party Ministers was avoided as the same could have triggered a trouble, sources explained. Even as the RSS was earlier hopeful of witnessing some positive changes in performance of the BJP Ministers with the passage of time, there was only disappointment vis-à-vis report card of these Ministers, sources explained and added that the possible reshuffle could be affected soon after the darbar move to winter capital of the state. In the reshuffle, sources close to RSS hint, two incumbent Ministers of State may be elevated to the Cabinet rank besides replacement of some faces with new ones. |
