'Separatists may try to incite communal tension' | Home Ministry's directive to J&K Govt | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 28: The Union Home Ministry has warned J&K Government against possible attempts by separatists and their handlers across the border to incite communal tension in the state. The Ministry has issued a directive to the government asking it not to fall complacent after the peaceful Eid. "The Government has foiled the separatists game plan of inciting violence by provocative acts on the Eid. They did make desperate attempts but could not get much support from the general public and also the suspension of the internet watered down their attempts. Now, in a sheer desperation they are planning something big," said a senior official. According to the sources, the handlers across the border have now devised a strategy to stoke communal clashes in the Jammu and then blame the State Government for it. "The separatists on the directions of their handlers across the border are now trying to fuel communal clashes in the State with the sole aim of discrediting the BJP as this party represents Jammu and has for the first time come into power, which is not acceptable to the people across the border. They have tried many things in the past but have not succeeded," said a senior police official. According to the sources, the terrorists are now also being directed to strike in Jammu region under this new game plan. "Naveed was sent to attack Amarnath yatris, and had he been successful it would have put major pressure on the BJP. So their game is unfolding fast and clear and it's for this reason the State Government has been directed (by the Home Ministry) to be extra cautious," said the official. |
