NPP protests against Services Selection Board | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 30: Suspecting malafide intentions of the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (SSB) in withholding the Teachers select list of Jammu and Udhampur districts, the Panthers Party contingent staged protest amid slogans. Shouting slogans “Jammu Ke Yuva se Bhed Bhav Bandh Karo Bandh karo”, the Panthers Party protestors led by Chairman and former minister Harsh Dev Singh lambasted the Services Selection Board for dilly dallying over the release of Teachers select list of Jammu and Udhampur districts. Singh said that SSB had notified the District cadre posts of General Line Teachers to be filled all across the State on March 2, 2013 with 744 posts for district Jammu and 237 posts for district Udhampur but it has been more than two years since the interviews for these posts were conducted and the respective select lists have also not been announced so far. "The callous delay by the Board has put the career of these candidates in jeopardy as this would place them far behind their peers besides divesting them of equal employment rights like service promotion, inter- se seniority and other career prospects, he added. Accusing SSB for adding to the woes of the teacher aspirants, JKNPP State President Balwant Singh Mankotia dubbed the recruitment board as a house of brazen malpractices and maintained that such delays in the release of select lists breed all kinds of corruption and dole out harassment to the candidates. |
