PMO scolds Jitendra Singh | ‘Stop interfering in J&K Unit of BJP’ | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 30: The MoS in PMO Jitendra Singh has been directed by the top Central leadership of the BJP to desist from taking credit from the flagship developmental schemes of the Central Government. He has also been asked to stop interfering in the internal affairs of the State unit of the BJP. The directive to the Jitendra Singh came after he said that a modern highway connecting Katra will be constructed at the cost of Rs 1500 crores. The announcement in this regard was already made by the Union Government and the Union Cabinet had already made an announcement in this regard. It was done on the intervention of the PM after a proposal was sent by the State Government . "The MoS in PMO by making such statements and getting it carried in local press is trying to give an impression that it’s being done on his insistence which is factually not correct. The Minister has done such acts in the past and has been told sternly to keep away from repeating such acts," said a senior BJP leader in the Central Government. The sources said that since PM Modi has made a tight grip over the PMO and nothing can move without his personal approval. A statement by a very junior minister that too in the ministry under his direct control was totally uncalled for. The sources said Jitendra Singh's esteem has lowered by indulging in such acts. The sources said PMO is also closely watching the statements and acts of the MoS after he made statement first about AIIMS in Jammu and then about the Dogra certificate. It is being now realized that such statements were not made for the interests of the Jammu region but to create problem for the BJP Government in the State. "The AIIMS controversy was totally generated by Jitnedra Singh and it affected the party hugely. Then he further tried to stoke problems by asking for the Dogra certificate, when it was made very clear long back that people of the this region will be given relaxation in height. The central leadership has now decided to take a strong action if Jitendra Singh continues to act in this manner," said a senior BJP Central Minister. |
