| Announcement of tourism development projects welcomed | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 2 : PDP leader and President of the Citizen's Forum has welcomed the announcement of tourism development projects for Jammu and Samba Districts but said this is not enough.
According to press release, the PDP leaders said that Jammu province as a whole needs a comprehensive Tourism Plan to convert Jammu as an International Tourist Destination.
He said that it was very much pleasing to watch Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed advertising himself in a TV advertisement for inviting the International tourist to Jammu and Kashmir by showing Kashmir's beautiful spots in the clips. "But the CM remained fail to show even a single presentable spot from Jammu region, because there is none even one equal to the ones in Kashmir", he said.
His dialogue that Kashmir is calling I wish one day he would also say Jammu is also calling them.
He further said the fate of Patnitop is going to be doomed with the opening of a Tunnel from Cheneni to near Ramban.
"We have already requested to the government to develop Patnitop as a bristling satellite township to attract tourists from all over India, who otherwise prefer to go to Himachal Pardesh instead", he added. |
