Park turns into residential plots, Registrar Coop orders inquiry 10/3/2015 12:29:53 AM Sumit Sharma Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 2: In an alleged encroachment, the park sanctioned for the Tawi Vihar Colony residents by the Housing Corporation has been allotted as plots for the residential purpose. The park was inaugurated by the former deputy Mayor Rani Billowria. Protest erupted in the Tawi Vihar Colony after two persons, one of which is the former Town Planner and other is the owner of the palatial hotel in Jammu claimed that they have been allotted plots by the Housing Corporation. While they started works, the residents gathered and raised anti government slogans. They also lodged complaint with the JMC Commissioner and Vigilance Organization that how a park has been turned into residential purpose. Rani Billowria when contacted said that she inaugurated park at 27 B at Tawi Vihar Colony and for the purpose she had asked JMC and Floriculture department to develop the park as model one. She further said that residents should hold protest against the MD Housing Corporation Bharat Bushan. Pertinently, MD Housing Corporation happens to be the relative of the cabinet minister in the BJP, PDP government in Jammu and Kashmir Meanwhile, the Registrar Cooperative Societies Mushtaq when contacted said that an inquiry in this connection is to be started as the matter is serious in nature.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
