JKTWA demands introduction of more courses in distance education mode | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 2 : Urging the Governor, the Chief Minister and the Education Minister to open floodgates of higher education for in-service teaching community by introducing more distance courses, the J&K Teacher's Welfare Association has demanded introduction of Statistics, Stenography, Physics, Chemistry and IT subjects. President, J&K Teacher's Welfare Association (JKTWA) Jasmeet Singh Madaan said that with the introduction of more courses in distance education mode could benefit in-service teachers who can pursue higher education in their own state and not to look for other universities. At present, many forged degree holders cases are coming to surface and it is the right time to expand the scope of distance education in different subjects so that it can be pursued by in-service teachers and other youths while working, he added. Not only this, Jasmeet also demanded introduction of different vocational courses for in-service teachers so that the different vocational courses be successfully implemented in schools by teachers at elementary as well as higher education level. |
