Bandeep, Raza help J&K make 330 against Kerela | | | SRINAGAR, Oct 2 : Hosts Jammu and Kashmir were comfortably placed after Bandeep Singh and Waseem Raja played matured innings adding 120 runs for the eighth wicket partnership thereby helped the side make it 330 first innings total in 106.5 overs against Kerela in Ranji Trophy group-C match at Sher-i-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, Srinagar. However, Kerela fought back bravely and were still half way the mark with a trail of 172 runs when stumps were drawn at 158 for two in 68 overs. Earlier, J&K resumed their innings from overnight score of 247 for seven and managed to score 330 runs with both Bandeep and Waseem Raza playing fine cricketer on the home turf. Waseem played unexpectedly well with his 108-ball 73 runs with the help of eight boundaries. In reply to J&K total, visiting Kerela side have already scored 158 for the loss of two wickets in 68 overs. While VA Jagadeesh contributed 69 runs, PR Prem (67) and Sachin Baby were at the crease at the end of day-two play. Ram Dayal was pick of the bowlers, who took the wicket of AG Kodth (06) and then run out the opener, Jagadeesh. J&K used all the six bowlers, who Adil Reshi bowling just two overs and Waseem six. |
