Poonch defeats Kathua in Kabadi match 10/3/2015 12:01:32 AM Rajouri, Oct 2 : District Poonch Kabadi Team today defeated Kathua district Kabadi team in State Level Kabadi Tournament for boys under age group 17 years. According to press release, the three days long tournament was played at Mini Sports Stadium at Rajouri and was organised by the Rajouri unit of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) headed by Mohd Ayaz Khan. The tournament was concluded today and the final match was played between the teams of Poonch and Kathua districts and the trophy was clinched by the Poonch district. Shabir Ahmed Bhat, the Deputy Commissioner presided over the concluding function while besides large number of prominent citizens the final match was also witnessed by the senior civil and police officers. The tournament was organized under the supervision of Jahangir Mir, Director General ,DYS&S and Madan Lal Joint Director,DYS&S. Deputy Commissioner, presented the trophies and other prizes to the winner, runners-up and 3rd position holding teams. He also congratulated the organizers for conducting the tournament in professional manner.
