Efforts for retrieving power projects from Centre still on: Govt | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Oct 6: The J&K government on Tuesday denied reports that the Centre has refused to handover power projects to state. In a written reply to a question by National Conference's Ali Mohammad Sagar, the Under Secretary to Power Development Department on behalf of Minister incharge stated that in the Agenda of Alliance, the coalition government has promised to explore modalities for transfer of Dool-Hasti power project and Uri power project to J&K as was suggested by the Working Group of Rangarajan Committee in its report and in the roundtable reports. In reply to another question the government stated that no such decision of denying transfer of power projects to state has been recorded in the meeting held by Union MoS on June 15 at Srinagar. The government also denied that the position of power supply has worsened in the state. |
