Politicians using reservation as vote catching device: AVMJ 10/13/2015 10:17:21 PM Early times Report Jammu, Oct 13:President Aarakshan Virodhi Manch Jammu (AVMJ) Ram Pal Seth termed striking down benefits of reservation in Promotions , a landmark judgement which will end injustices done to a large number of J&K Govt employees in the past. According to press release, Ram Pal Seth said that there was a great difference between reservation and reservation in promotions. It is unfortunate that politicians of this country have been using reservation as vote catching devise. The landmark judgement might help in correcting the past injustices committed by the previous Governments. He said there are a clear cut rulings of Supreme court of India according to which reservation in Promotion is illegal and miscarriage of justice . He stressed that reservation in Promotion offends letter and spirit of articles 14 and 16 of Indian constitution. He demanded ending of existing system of reservation as it failed to serve its purpose and today at the cost of the poor. Moreover, it has the potential of triggering ethnic conflicts in the country.
