Tara Chand, Mian Altaf, Rashpal Singh in soup over recruitment scandal | Trio receives SAC notices in response to case filed by RTI activist | | Akshay Azad ET Report Jammu, Oct 13: Three Ministers of previous National Conference-Congress coalition Government former MLA Kalakote Rashpal Singh, who enjoyed MoS status, former Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand and former Forest Minister Mian Altaf are in trouble for their alleged involvement in a big recruitment scandal in Urban Local Bodies, as the State Accountability Commission (SAC) has issued notices to all for their involvement. The SAC has issued the notices to all the former Ministers in a complaint filed by an RTI activist who was also former senior vice president of National Conference Dr. Rehmatullah Khora. In the complaint filed by Dr. Rehmatullah before SAC, he has submitted the documents, obtained through RTI from the Urban Local Bodies Department and the recommendation letters of the Ministers, on behalf of which several blue-eyed were engaged in Kalakote Municipal Committee. Giving reference of the RTI reply, Dr. Rehmatullah has submitted the list of casual labourers engaged in MC Kalakote merely on the recommendations of Rashpal Singh and former deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand. These employees are Puran Chand son of Kedh Ram R/o Kaller, Rakesh Kumar son of Ashok Kumar of Khark, Ravi Kumar S/o Om Parkash of Sadoh, Sunil Kumar S/o Rattan Paul of Sadoh, Mohammad Riaz S/o Shar Mohammad of Khark, Kuldeep Kumar S/o Hem Raj of Khark, Daleep Kumar S/o Hem Raj of Khark Kalakote, Sunil Kumar S/o Bansil Lal of Batardi Kalakote, Dheer Singh S/o Bindroo Ram of Jigni Kalakote. These above said employees were engaged merely on the D.O letters of former MLA Kalakote Rashpal Singh and Dheer Singh was enaged on the telephonic message received from the then Deputy Chief Minister, who was holding the portfolio of Housing and Urban Development Department. More employees engaged on instructions of former MLA Kalakote include Balbir Singh S/o Sewa Singh, Vikram Singh S/o Surjeet Singh, Arjun Singh S/o Shal Singh, Munish Chadda S/o Vipan Chadda and Ranveer Singh S/o Late Balwant Singh. The State Accountability Commission (SAC) has reportedly sent the notices to all the three respondents and the next date of hearing is November 9, the RTI activist informed. |
