Govt totally failed to protect its own legislation : Kundal | | | Early times Report
Jammu, Oct 13: In the wake High Court judgement delivered on 9-10-2015, B.R Kundal former Minister convened meeting of the socio - political leaders with varying backgrounds today. It was noted with concern that Govt totally failed to protect its own legislation enacted in 2005 which came after a protracted fight, in which even human life was lost. They criticized the Govt. and its attitude which has exposed their slogans regarding upliftment of weaker sections particularly scheduled casts/scheduled tribes who have been exploited for centuries. Alleging failure of the Govt., they demanded that all the law officers appointed by the Govt need to be held accountable and removed from the Govt panel. It was also noted that on one hand Prime Minister of the country is reiterating resolve & firm commitment of the Govt to provide reservation to scheduled casts/scheduled tribes whereas his own political party which in coalition partner in the Govt .is negating his resolve. They appealed the Chief Minister to immediately take corrective measures and have status quo Ante restored to infuse sense of confidence amongst weaker sections of the society particularly "the scheduled casts/scheduled tribes" |
