| Akhand Jyoti Committee commences Mata Pingla Devi Yatra | | |  Early Times Report
Ramnagar, Oct 13: Akhand jyoti of Pingla Devi yatra was lit on Tuesday in Ramnagar town on the auspicious occasion of beginning of Navratras amidst chanting of vedic mantras and performance of other religious ceremonies.
Swami Divyanand ji from Shahpur Kandi, Punjab lit the Akhand jyoti in the main town Ramnagar and also flag was hurled on the occasion. Divyanand ji delivered religious discourse to the gathering and asked youth to desist from taking drugs and should become better citizens of tomorrow. Swami ji also appreciated Akhand Jyoti Committee chairman Vinay Jandial for organizing the event for last 29 years.
On Wednesday, the Ramnagar festival will be inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Sahid Iqbal Choudhary.
Akhand Jyoti Committee chairman Vinay Jandial on the occasion said, " Akhand jyoti of Pingla Devi yatra was initiated by OP Jandial 29 years ago. Since then the event has been successfully organized twice on the occasion of Navratras every year. We are expecting around one lakh devotee to visit Pingla Devi yatra during Navratras". |
