SC, ST, OBC condemn Govt for failure to protect reservation rights 10/13/2015 11:07:08 PM Early times Report Jammu, Oct 13 : All SC/ST and OBC communities of J&K condemned the state governments for its failure to protect reservation rights in promotion in scores of writ petitions' in the high court of J&K. Failure of state government, who came into existence due to overwhelming support of SC/ST's to both BJP & PDP, has resulted into double bench of High Court pronouncing anti-constitutional and anti-reserved categories judgment. According to press release, they said this judgement is going to affect 18% SC/ST employees and their officers who shall be losing opportunity to rise up to higher posts in various departments. Reservation in Promotion is a constitutional right of people belonging to SC/ST & OBC's in both state and central services as per scores of Supreme Court judgements and also as per 77, 81st & 85 Constitutional amendments. "It has been understood that a deep conspiracy is being hatched by the bureaucrats and few in the judiciary to deprive SC/ST & OBC's the due and constitutional rights of Reservation, they alleged and adding it has been learned that the case under reference was being pleaded in the Double bench of High Court for last one year or so but the government of the day did not gave proper and necessary directions to the Advocate eneral to plead and justify the stand of government on this issue as per Reservation Act of-2004 "read with SRO-294. They further said, if this court order is implemented it will cause huge loss to 18% SC/ST'population of J&K, it will be humiliating for the officers of SC/ST who will be demoted from CE/SE/XEn, Professors etc to the lower posts. It shall be causing distress & dissent among SC/ST/OBC's against the government. Taking into consideration all the aspects, they appealed the visionary Chief Minister Mufti Sayeed to intervene into this very sensitive and serious matter and direct Chief Secretary as well as all departmental heads not to implement this anti SC/ST order of Double bench.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
